The movie focuses on young Tristan (played by Charlie Cox), who embarks on a journey to recover a fallen star in order to impress his crush Victoria (played by Sienna Miller). By pursuing his mission, Tristan discovers a forbidden and mysterious land outside of their village. After several days, Tristan eventually locates the fallen star, which has then transformed to Yvaine (Claire Danes). However, Tristan discovered that he is not the only one who is searching for the fallen star. Four sons of the Kind of Stromhold (played by Peter O’Toole) all need to get the fallen star as they compete for their father’s throne. Young Tristan also must need to triumph over Lamia (played by Michelle Pfeiffer), an evil witch who wants to obtain the fallen star because it is her only chance of becoming young again. As the movie moves on, Tristan met trader Ferdy the Fence (played by Ricky Gervais) and pirate Captain Shakespeare (played by Robert De Niro). The mission of Tristan changes as he then realized the true definition of love. His quest changed from obtaining the fallen star to win the heart of Yvaine, the fallen star itself.
